Brief Description of the Diet ¹10 in the Belarusian Health Resorts

Diseases: cardiovascular system diseases with blood circulation insufficiency of I-II A rate.
The aim: to improve blood circulation, cardiovascular system, liver and kidneys functioning, to normalize metabolism, to spare cardiovascular system and digestive apparatus.
Description: the reduction of food value due to fat and partially carbohydrates; the limitation of kitchen salt, the reduction of liquid intake. Substances which excite cardiovascular and nervous system, irritate liver and kidneys, burden gastrointestinal tract, provoke meteorism are limited. The quantity of potassium, magnesium, lipotropic substances, alkaline effect products (dairy, vegetables, fruit) is increased.
Food description and ways of its preparation
Bread and bakery foods. White bread from first-rate and second chop flour (yesterday or slightly dried), dietary saltless bread.
Cold dishes include salads from fresh vegetables, vinaigrette, vegetable and aubergine paste, salads from vegetables with addition of boiled meat, seafood, boiled fish, jellied fish.
Soups vegetarian with different cereals, vegetables, potatoes, fruit, milk, borshch, beetroot soup are cooked. Sour-cream, citric acid, onion are added to them.
Potato and vegetables. Vegetables are used in boiled, baked, less often - in a raw way. It is possible to use potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, beets, vegetable marrows, pumpkin, tomatoes, salad, cucumbers, green peas. Green onions, dill and parsley are added to dishes.
Cereals and macaroni. Different dishes are cooked on water or milk, macaroni are boiled.
Eggs are used soft-boiled (up to one egg a day), steam or baked omelettes, protein omelette and for other dishes.
Milk and dairy products. Milk can be used with tolerance; cottage-cheese and dishes from it with cereals, carrots, fruit, kefir, acidophilin, curdled milk are recommended, sour-cream and cream are limited according to the daily animal fat norm.
Fat. Saltless butter and vegetable oil are recommended.
Fish low-fat (pike perch, cod, pike, carp) boiled or fried, jellied, boiled seafood are used.
Meat and poultry. Low-fat beef, veal, rabbit, chicken, turkey, boile meat, sausages are allowed.
Sauces are cooked on the vegetable broth, dairy, sour-cream, tomato, sour-cream with onions, fruit are cooked.
Spicery dill, parsley, bay leaf, vanillin, citric acid, cinnamon are used.
Berries, fruit. Soft ripe fruit and berries are used in a natural kind; kissels, compotes from from fresh fruit and dried fruit, jellied fruit, milk kissles are cooked.
Sweets - honey, jam, not chocolate sweets.
Beverages - tea, tea with milk, coffe drinks with milk (cocoa is limited), fruit, berry and vegetables juices, hips extract.
The following products are prohibited: fresh bread, products from puff and fancy pastry, pancakes; spicy, fat and salty snack; smoked products; sausage products; canned fish and meat; soups and sauces on fish, meat and mushroom broth; salty, pickled vegetables; spinach, sorrel, garden radish, radish, garlic, mushrooms; bean; soft-boiled eggs; salty and fat cheese; fat - culinary, beef, pork, mutton; fat, salty fish; geese, ducks, fat meat; liver, kidneys, brains; mustard, pepper, horse-radish; chocolate, cakes, pies; black coffee; soda waters.
The following products are prohibited dishes difficult to digest. The food is cooked without salt, is used warm.
Eating pattern: 5 times a day in equal portions.
Chemical composition and food value: protein - 90 g (55-60 % animal), fat - 70 g (25-30 % vegetable), carbohydrates - 350-400 g, kilocalories 2500 - 2600; kitchen salt - 6-7 g, free liquid - 1,2 l.
