Speleotherapy

Speleotherapy (greek "spelaion" cave+therapy) - drug-free method of treatment, which is based on the use of microclimate of natural caves or underground salt mines for medicinal purposes; kind of climatotherapy. From natural caves for speleotherapy are used karst ones, as a result of which from the complex geological processes. This process is occurring in the Earth's crust in the areas of distribution of soluble carbonate (limestone, dolomite, chalk, etc.) and halogen (rock salt, gypsum, etc.) rocks.
Speleological therapy is used for treatment of diseases such as asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory diseases, hypertension, skin diseases, diseases of the joints.
